Dear Mom,
I wish you were here for the family picnic.
But I am glad you are not because you pick from the Tree of Life.
I wish you were here to celebrate with me as the burdens of school are lifted.
But I am glad you are in a Place where all burdens and pain have been lifted.
I wish you were here to watch me flip the strands of cotton.
But I am glad you are not, for you have flipped The Tassel of Life.
I wish I could hear your clap amongst the thousands.
But you are busy clapping for One more worthy amongst the millions.
I wish you were here so I could give you a birthday hug.
But I am glad you are not because your birthdays are now meaningless in the reign of eternity.
I wish you were here to provide me with motherly wisdom.
But, ok, I still do wish you were here for that reason as you now have full wisdom.
Nonetheless. My love remains. And I flip this page of life remembering you.
